#6 Kymee's Rose Project

Click to buy

HMMMM Lets see In my last blog I start to tell what it was like to be a new painter. I really suggest workshops even those on line but the workshop in person are the best because you can ask questions and see live how to deal with stuff. The artist sometime goofs up so you are able to see how they are not perfect and how to resolve it. My first in person workshop was with Carol Marine and I would do a ton of them if I could with her she is really an amazing artist.

#4 of Kymee's Rose Project.

This project is to help make me a better painter that is the plan. I started this Journey 3-4 years ago but I really started to learn more confidently or at least where it all made sense 1 year ago. I learned the name of brushes and what they are used for the different paints and name brands.
I was so jealous of other painters they would look at a color and know the name. I can do that little more. I will keep sharing on the next blog. don't want to be long winded.
Please ask questions if you are new and need info.

#2 Kymee's Rose Project

I read where an artist decided she was going to give a rose away every day. I cringed for me you see painting a rose is so difficult for me. I felt like if I started this project maybe I will finally master a rose or a least paint a decent rose. So far I have painted 11 roses and I feel that I am improving but I also am learning so much more.
I am liking this so far and hope that I am able to complete it to the end.
Every rose will be 10.00 plus shipping so pick the one you like and let me know.

In a little town called Idyllwild there is a book store with a big bear out front of a cute book store. I found out after I took photos of him he was one of the actual bears in the Bear Jamboree at DisneyLand. I loved the Bear Jamboree and am sad to find out that they don't have it anymore.

Actually I painted this before I found out about where he was from so it is all the better that I have record of one of the Disney icons.

Tahquitz Wonder 8x10 oil on canvas

Nestled in the San Berndino Mountains there is a town named Idyllwild, and above that very small town is a majestic rock named Tahquitz. Tahquitz stands tall watching over the town and recently had a fire come close to burning the whole place down. The fire crews are heroes to me. The whole town of course is so grateful. I am hoping some of what I paint will become a record. The mountain around was threatened and could have burned so this photo could have show the before. But thankful all was saved and it still looks green.

The Meeting Place 12x12 oil on canvas

I know a lot of people that love windmills me included I can see a million of them and still be fascinated when I see one out in that gorgeous meadow. They stand so tall and what a great view that you would have if you could sit on top of one. I feel very jealous of these crows that decided this would be a great place to enjoy that view and catch up on what is happening on the farm.

We are watching over you. 8x10 oil on canvas

A friend posted this sweet angel, loved how she was relaxing while watching over the garden, kids playing, dog resting, birds building nest, occupants in the house and even the plants how they bloom.
I feel this angel picked this spot to repose because, she was having a conversation with the plant next to her while she rest.

I have not posted for awhile been busy and now need to catch up for those who read these.

This guy started by putting the burger paper down then leaving it to decide what to put on it I loved the boldness of this gal so here she is in all her glory.

I used oil to paint her and a pallet knife to give her her feathers.
I was able to paint outside our motorhome which was very relaxing.
