I love flowers I would paint flowers every day but I need to practice on other things also, so when I find a flower I just can't resit all other things but put in the back and right in front on my easel I will enjoy painting a flower. I really am trying really hard to get the courage to paint a very large painting. The fear was still too strong today maybe tomorrow or next week. Whats up with that?

They have a really cool swap meet in Yucca Valley. There really is so much junk I imagine if you really searched and spent the time you would be able to find so worthy trash. As they say one mans junk is another mans Treasure. Well I did find something worthy and when I can I paint what I think is really cool I have a photo of course but something about painting the stuff for me is very cool.

I am still working on painting everyday and so anything is fair game to paint. So much cool stuff to paint and not enough time to paint it all.

My husband and I love to travel and exploring. The best part of a day is when we see something that we have never seen before. Historic things also are the top of our list. The desert has such and alluring sense for us because the history just seethes in the plants the buildings the hills around it. You see even while we walk around we find history that shows that people were once where they are not now. The last time we were out exploring my husband found this bottle so... I thought it would be perfect to add to my still life things.  I love daffodils and perfect for spring.

one of my favorite things about Facebook is that people share some great photos and it is really easy then to get permission to use the photo for painting and really it is a challenge to paint them so the person recognizes it and maybe would want it for a keepsake, this photo was taken by my sister who lives in lake havasu she took it while on an early morning walk

 On FB there are a couple of pages that have been great to share photos for all to use for free, I have many things that I would love to paint but I am not the best photographer. I have a certain way I want to see some of these things, I am working on learning to take better pictures in the mean time I am able use the FB sites for photos, Here is one I got on a Dreama site. It is tough to start painting again when you take time off even if it is only a week, I think the BIG word FEAR takes over.
We you paint you are supposed to paint the shapes or paint the squint. So when you are thinking of things to paint you have the whole picture in your head then it just seems impossible.
I decided to wake early like so many other painters to make sure that I am painting regularly.

One of the painters I follow posted a challenge photo on her FB from Maui told us to give it a try.
I met a seagull that I refer to as Sydney, at the end of the OB Pier, he let me approach him and I took advantage of it and took a lot of great photos, so I thought what a great background for Sydney.
SO... lol Sydney in Hawaii.
